Timesheet calculator: log your hours and see overtime

This timesheet calculator adds up your working hours: enter date, start, end and break on each line and it shows the total, your balance against target hours (overtime) and the hours per week. Save the result as an image or a CSV file for Excel. Night shifts across midnight work too.

One line per entry: date; start; end; break in minutes, for example “10/01/2026; 08:00; 16:30; 30”. If the end is before the start, the shift runs past midnight. Several lines on the same day count as one working day.
hours
For example 8 for a 40-hour week. This gives the balance.
$
With a value the calculator also shows the pay for the logged hours. 0 = do not calculate.
hours

%
For example 50 for time and a half, 100 for double time. 0 = overtime at the normal rate.

How it is calculated

The working time of a day is end minus start minus break. The calculator adds all entries, compares them with the target and shows overtime or time under target.

How it is calculated

Input and export

The timesheet does not replace a certified system or any record-keeping your employer must keep. Your entries stay in your browser.

Several breaks, overtime limits and PDF

The limits are your setting, not legal advice: whether and when overtime is paid depends on your contract and local law. For a single day use the hours calculator, for a fixed week with break checks the work hours calculator, for a blank monthly sheet to print the timesheet template, and for overtime pay on its own the overtime calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How does the online timesheet work?

You enter date, start, end and break on each line. The calculator adds the working time, compares it with the target and shows overtime, weekly hours and a chart.

How do I enter a night shift?

Like any other shift, for example “10/07/2026; 22:00; 06:00; 30”. If the end is before the start, the shift runs past midnight and counts for the start day.

How is overtime calculated?

Actual hours minus target hours, where the target is target hours times the number of working days. A positive result is overtime, a negative one is time under target.

Can I open the data in Excel?

Yes: the button saves a CSV file. A double-click opens it in Excel; ISO date, decimal hours and hh:mm are included.

What happens with two entries on the same day?

Both times are added, but the date counts only once as a working day, for example for a split shift.

Are my entries private?

Yes. Everything is calculated in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Can I calculate overtime after 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week?

Yes. Enter a daily limit, a weekly limit or both. The calculator separates regular hours from overtime and can add a premium such as 50 % to the pay. Which limit applies to you depends on your contract and local law.
