How it is calculated

How the delivery note template works

Enter the sender, the delivery address and the delivered items with quantity and unit. You can add an order number and, at the end, a line “goods received complete and undamaged” with room for date and signature. Prices are deliberately left off; they belong on the quotation and the invoice. The document is created in your browser and saved as a PDF or Word file.

What it should show

Background

It documents that goods were handed over. It usually does not show prices, so it is not an invoice and does not replace one. Typically a quotation comes first, the invoice follows, and payment can be confirmed with a receipt or chased with a payment reminder letter.

Limits

The tool produces a sample text, not legal advice and not a tax document. Check the details and terms before you use it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create a delivery note?

Enter sender, recipient and the delivered items with quantity and unit, add date and number, then download it as PDF or Word.

Should it show prices?

Usually not. It documents the handover of goods; prices and tax belong on the quotation and the invoice.

What is the difference between a delivery note and an invoice?

The delivery note confirms what was delivered. The invoice asks for payment and has its own required details.

Can the recipient sign it?

Yes. Keep the box “Confirmation of receipt with signature line” ticked and print the PDF so the recipient can sign and date it.

Is my document stored anywhere?

No. There is no upload and no account. Only if you tick “Remember my entries in this browser” are your entries kept locally.
