How it is calculated

Converting EPUB to PDF means bringing the text of an e-book into a fixed page format that opens and prints on any device. This tool reads the EPUB file (a ZIP package of XHTML chapters following the W3C standard EPUB 3) in your browser and sets the chapters in the book’s reading order. There is no upload, no sign-up and no watermark.

How it works

  1. Drop the EPUB file here or choose it; the title and chapter count appear as a check.
  2. Pick the page size (A4 or US Letter), orientation and margin.
  3. Click “Convert to PDF”, check the preview of the first page and download the PDF.

What is kept – and what is not

Limits

This suits novels, non-fiction and manuscripts that are mostly text. Picture books, comics and heavily designed technical books lose their images; for those, a publisher’s PDF edition or printing from the reader app is better.

Privacy

The e-book never leaves your device. Only the PDF library (pdf-lib, MIT licence) is loaded from this server. Next steps: Word to PDF, merge PDF files or compress a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How can I convert EPUB to PDF for free?

Drop the EPUB file here, choose the page size and click “Convert to PDF”. You download the PDF straight away – no account and no watermark.

Can I convert EPUB to PDF without uploading the file?

Yes. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and the e-book is not sent to a server. That also applies on a Mac.

Why are images and the cover missing?

This tool only takes over text, tables and links. Images are counted and reported in the result as not included.

Can a copy-protected e-book be converted?

No. Files with DRM are not decrypted. The conversion works for EPUB files you made yourself or that are freely licensed.

Does it work with MOBI or AZW?

No, only with EPUB. MOBI and AZW are different formats; convert them to EPUB first.

Can I read the PDF on my phone?

Yes. The file is an ordinary PDF; on an iPhone it lands in the Files app under “Downloads”.
