How it is calculated

The blank page is the most common obstacle in drawing: if you do not know what to draw, you often do not draw at all. The wheel hands you a subject at random. Every idea has the same chance – with twelve entries that is 8.33%. You draw what shows up, and the debate is over.

How to use it

  1. Pick an idea set at the top: “Easy” for quick sketches, “Animals & nature”, “Fantasy” for characters and scenes, or “Challenge” with tasks such as one-line drawing.
  2. Click “Spin the wheel”, read the prompt and draw for 5 to 15 minutes. A timer helps you avoid overthinking.
  3. Switch on “Remove the winning entry from the wheel” so no idea repeats. That gives you a series, for example for a 30-day drawing challenge.

Ways to add variety

The prompts are deliberately generic and name no characters, brands or artists. Every drawing stays your own idea, without copyright questions.

Frequently asked questions

What can I draw when I am bored?

Spin the wheel in the “Easy” set: objects like a cup, a sneaker or a bicycle can be sketched in a few minutes and need no reference.

Are there drawing ideas for beginners?

Yes. The “Easy” set uses clear, simple shapes. Once you feel more confident, switch to “Animals & nature” or “Fantasy”.

What does the “Challenge” set do?

Here the task matters more than the subject, for example one continuous line or drawing with your non-dominant hand. It trains hand-eye coordination and takes the pressure off perfection.

Can I add my own drawing ideas?

Yes. The text box is fully editable. Add “*3” at the end of a line and that subject comes up three times as often, if you want to practice something specific.

How is the prompt chosen?

Every idea has the same chance. The wheel uses your browser’s random number generator (Web Crypto), not the order of the list.

Can I use the wheel in art class?

Of course. Show the wheel on a projector, let students take turns spinning and have everyone draw the same prompt. Adjust the list beforehand to the age group and topic.
