How it is calculated
Sketching something quickly, explaining a route, drawing with kids or capturing an idea shouldn’t need an app. This drawing board runs right in your browser, on a phone just as well as on a computer with a graphics tablet.
How it works
- Pick the brush, tap a colour or set your own with the colour picker.
- Adjust the stroke width with the slider (1–60 pixels) and start drawing.
- Made a mistake? “Undo” or Ctrl + Z; “Redo” with Ctrl + Y. The eraser removes strokes pixel by pixel.
- “Save as PNG” – with a white background or transparent for reuse.
How it works technically
The drawing area is an HTML canvas of 1200 × 800 pixels. Every movement is captured with Pointer Events, so mouse, touch and pen behave the same. Strokes are smoothed with quadratic Bézier curves through the midpoints of neighbouring points. Undo and redo work on a list of all strokes; “Clear all” can be undone too.
Honest limits
The board is deliberately simple: no layers, no shape tools, no pen pressure. For shapes, text and an infinite canvas, use the whiteboard. The draft is kept only in this browser’s storage – in private mode or after clearing site data it is gone, so save important pictures as PNG.
Privacy
Nothing is uploaded. The draft is stored only in your browser’s local storage under “zeichenbrett:v1”.

Yes, pen, finger and mouse are handled the same way. Pen pressure does not change the stroke width, though.
