Online scoreboard for two teams
Tap the top half of a panel for +1, the bottom half for −1. Press “Full screen” and your phone, tablet or laptop becomes a readable scoreboard for indoor sports, table tennis, volleyball or a team quiz. The score survives a reload.

How the online scoreboard works
- Set up the teams: Open “Teams, colours and clock”, enter the names and pick a colour for each team. The text switches between black and white automatically so it stays readable on any colour.
- Keep score: Tap the top half of a team panel for +1, the bottom half for −1. The score never drops below 0.
- Full screen: “Full screen” hides everything else and makes the numbers as large as possible. On devices without full-screen support (e.g. iPhone) the board fills the browser window instead.
- Sets and periods: “End set” gives the leading team a set, resets the points to 0 and starts the next set. “Next period” only advances the counter and keeps the points – handy for quarters or halves.
Keyboard shortcuts
On a laptop or with a Bluetooth keyboard you do not need a mouse: Q/A count the left side up and down, P/L the right side. The arrow keys ← and → add 1 to that side, holding Shift subtracts 1. Space starts and stops the clock, U undoes, W switches sides and F toggles full screen. Keys refer to the side of the screen – after a side switch they control the other team.
Game clock
The clock is optional: a stopwatch that counts up or a countdown with your own length. The scoreboard only stores start and stop timestamps and calculates the time from them, so the clock stays correct even if the screen turns off or the page is reloaded. Ending a set or period resets the clock.
Switching sides
When the teams change ends, press “Switch sides” so each team is shown on the side where it plays. If you need that after every set, turn on “Switch sides after every set/period”.
Scoreboard or score keeper?
This scoreboard is built for exactly two teams and for reading from a distance. For board and card games with several players and rounds, the score keeper is the better fit.
Storage and privacy
Names, colours and the score are kept in your browser’s localStorage and never uploaded. “Undo” goes back up to 100 steps, including an accidental “New game”.
Example: In volleyball it is 25:23 for Team A. “End set” gives Team A the set (sets 1:0), resets the points to 0:0 and starts set 2. Also useful: split players with the random team generator, plan fixtures with the tournament bracket generator, and score darts with the darts scorer.

How do I turn my tablet into a scoreboard?
Open the page, enter the team names and press “Full screen”. Stand the tablet up and tap the top (+1) or bottom half (−1) of a team panel.
Can I show the scoreboard on a TV or projector?
Yes. Connect a laptop, open the page in full screen and score with the keyboard: Q/A for the left side, P/L for the right. The numbers scale with the screen.
Which sports is it for?
Any game with two sides that counts points – volleyball, table tennis, badminton, basketball, football, table football or a two-team quiz. It does not check rules such as winning a set at 25 points; you decide.
Is the score lost if the screen turns off?
No. The score is saved in the browser on every change and is back after a reload. Only private browsing clears it when the window closes.
How do I fix a wrong point?
Tap the bottom half of the team panel (−1) or press “Undo”. Undo also reverts ending a set, switching sides and renaming.
Why does the clock not start?
The clock is off by default. Choose stopwatch or countdown under “Teams, colours and clock” and the “Start clock” button appears. A finished countdown restarts only after “Reset clock”.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. The scoreboard runs in the browser on phone, tablet and PC, without installing anything and without signing up.
