Futsal scoreboard online with accumulated fouls

This futsal scoreboard does the job of the timekeeper’s table: one tap per goal, a counter for accumulated fouls that warns when the next foul means a free kick without a wall, and the timeout of each team. It suits futsal leagues, 5-a-side and indoor soccer at school, at the sports club or in the community hall.

How it is calculated

The futsal scoreboard counts goals, accumulated fouls and timeouts for two teams, half by half. It needs no installation and keeps the score if the screen goes dark.

How to use the futsal scoreboard

  1. Type the names of both teams (or keep “Home” and “Away”).
  2. Press +1 Goal for every goal.
  3. Record each direct free kick foul with + Foul and each timeout with Timeout.
  4. At the half-time whistle press End half: the foul count goes back to zero and the second half starts.
  5. Undo takes back one action at a time.

Example: the home team leads 3–1 and commits its fifth foul of the first half. The board highlights the foul count: the next foul – the sixth – gives the away team a direct free kick without a wall.

Futsal rules the scoreboard follows

RuleFutsalOn the scoreboard
Match lengthtwo periods of 20 minutes, clock stopped when the ball is out of play“End half” moves to the second half
Playersfive per team, one of them the goalkeeper; unlimited substitutionsnot tracked
Timeoutsone per team in each period, one minute longbutton locks after the timeout is used
Accumulated foulsfrom the sixth foul in a half, a direct kick from the 10 m mark without a wallwarning when a team reaches five
Extra timetwo periods of five minutes, only when a winner is neededtick the extra-time box

When extra time is played, the fouls of the second half keep counting. Without the extra-time box the match can end in a draw, as in a league.

5-a-side, indoor soccer and school tournaments

Small-sided games often shorten the halves – 2 × 10 or 2 × 12 minutes on a running clock – and some play without the accumulated-foul rule. The goal counter works for all of them; simply ignore the foul warning if your competition does not use it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I keep score in futsal with this page?

Press “+1 Goal” for the scoring team, “+ Foul” for each foul that counts as accumulated and “Timeout” when a team calls one. “End half” starts the second half.

What happens on the sixth foul in futsal?

From the sixth accumulated foul of a team in one half, every further foul gives the opponent a direct free kick from the 10 m mark without a defensive wall.

How many timeouts are there in futsal?

Each team has one timeout of one minute in each period. An unused timeout is not carried over.

How long is a futsal match?

Two periods of 20 minutes with the clock stopped whenever the ball is out of play.

Do accumulated fouls reset at half-time?

Yes. The count starts again at zero in the second half. If extra time is played, the second-half count continues.

Can a futsal match end in a draw?

In league play, yes. When a winner is needed, extra time of two five-minute periods is played; tick the extra-time box for that.

Can I use it for 5-a-side or indoor soccer?

Yes. The goal counter is the same; ignore the foul warning if your rules do not count accumulated fouls.

Does the scoreboard have a clock?

No. It counts goals, fouls, timeouts and halves. Use a watch or a timer on a second device for the playing time.
