Online score keeper

Add players, enter points per round or count with +1/−1/+5/+10 – totals and rankings update instantly. The scoreboard survives a page reload and never leaves your device.

The scores are stored only in this browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent anywhere.

    How the score keeper works

    1. Add players: type a name and press “+ Player” (or Enter). Rename a player right in the name field on their card; the × removes a player along with their points.
    2. Enter points: “+ New round” adds a new row to the “Rounds” table. Type each player’s points for that round – negative values such as −20 work too.
    3. Or count as you go: the −1, +1, +5 and +10 buttons on each card change the points in the current round – handy for games where you keep a running count.
    4. Read the scoreboard: the big number on each card is the running total, with the ranking below. The leader is highlighted.

    Ranking and ties

By default the highest total is in the lead. For games where a low score is good, switch on “Lowest score wins” and the ranking flips. Tied players share a place and the next place is skipped: if Anna and Ben both have 40 and Cem has 35, the ranking is 1. Anna, 1. Ben, 3. Cem.

    Target score

Enter a target score and a notice appears as soon as someone reaches or passes it. The score counter does not end the game on its own: whether the game is over and who wins is up to your game’s rules. With a negative target, the notice counts downwards.

    Editing rounds and undo

Every cell in the table can be changed later, so a typo in round 3 is fixed in seconds and all totals recalculate. The × at the end of a row deletes the whole round. “Undo” steps back through your last actions (up to 50), including an accidental delete or “New game”.

    Storage and privacy

The scoreboard is kept in your browser’s localStorage. It survives reloading, closing the tab and a flat battery, as long as you open the same page in the same browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which also means there is no sync between devices. In private mode the browser wipes this storage when the window closes.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I keep score online for a card game?

Add the players, press “+ New round” after each round and enter every player’s points in the new row. Totals and rankings update instantly.

Will I lose the scores if I reload the page?

No. The scoreboard is saved automatically in your browser and is back after a reload. It is only lost in private mode or after clearing your browser data.

    Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Names and points stay in your browser’s localStorage on this device. There is no account and no upload.

    Can I enter negative points?

Yes. Any cell accepts negative values, and the −1 button subtracts a point. Totals can drop below 0.

What does “Lowest score wins” do?

It reverses the ranking so the player with the fewest points is in the lead – useful for games where points count as penalties.

How do I fix a round I entered wrong?

Tap the cell in the “Rounds” table and change the value. You can also take back the last action with “Undo”.

    How many players are supported?

Up to 20 players and 500 rounds. With many players, swipe the table sideways on a phone.

Do I need an app for this scoreboard?

No. The score keeper runs in the browser on phone, tablet and computer – no install, no sign-up.
