How it is calculated
This tool splits a PDF into several files, extracts individual pages or removes pages you don’t need. Pages are copied unchanged: text stays searchable and images keep their resolution.

How to enter pages
- Single pages separated by commas:
1, 4, 9 - Ranges with a hyphen:
3-7 - To the end:
8-means page 8 to the last page;-3means pages 1 to 3. - Reverse order:
5-1gives pages 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 – a way to reorder pages, too.
Typical uses
- Save individual invoices or receipts from a batch scan as separate files.
- Share only the signed page of a contract.
- Break a large PDF into smaller parts when a portal or mailbox only accepts limited file sizes.
- Delete blank or duplicate pages from a scan.
Limits
Password-protected PDFs need to be saved without protection first. Bookmarks and form fields are not carried over. When splitting, each new file contains the fonts and images its pages need – several parts together can therefore be larger than the original.
Privacy
The PDF is processed with the open-source library pdf-lib in your browser and is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract a single page from a PDF?
Choose “Select pages”, enter the page number (e.g. 3) and click “Split PDF”. You get a new PDF with just that page.
Can I split a PDF in half?
Yes: choose “Each range as a separate PDF” and enter e.g. 1-10, 11-. Or use “Fixed page count per part” with half the page count.
How do I delete pages from a PDF?
Choose “Remove pages” and enter the pages you don’t need, e.g. 2, 5-6. The new PDF contains all other pages.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser; the PDF never leaves your device.
Is quality preserved when splitting?
Yes. Pages are copied unchanged – nothing is recompressed or turned into images.
Can I download all parts at once?
Yes. When several files are created, “Download all as ZIP” bundles them into one ZIP file.
What does “8-” mean in the page field?
From page 8 to the end of the document. Likewise, “-3” means pages 1 to 3.
