Delete pages from PDF
Delete pages from a PDF in three steps: drop in the file, tap the pages you do not need (or type numbers like “2, 5-7”) and click “Delete pages”. Everything happens in your browser – the file is never uploaded, and text and quality stay intact.

How it is calculated
A blank back side in a scan, a cover sheet nobody needs, or adverts at the end of a bank statement: this tool removes single or many pages from a PDF and saves the rest as a new file. You see every page as a thumbnail, so you know exactly what goes before you save.
How it works
- Drop in or choose a PDF – every page appears as a thumbnail.
- Tap the pages you want to remove, or click ✕. They fade and get crossed out; ↩ brings them back.
- Faster for long documents: enter numbers such as “2, 5-7” or “20-” (from page 20 to the end) and click “Delete”. “Keep only these” inverts the selection – handy for pulling out a few pages.
- Click “Delete pages” and download the shorter PDF.
Find blank pages automatically
Double-sided scanning often produces white back sides. “Find blank pages” checks every preview: a page with less than 0.3% dark pixels counts as blank and is marked for deletion. Still take a quick look – a page with nothing but a light grey footer can be detected as blank too.
What happens when you delete
The deleted pages are taken out of the PDF’s page tree (ISO 32000-1, section 7.7.3). The remaining pages are untouched: text stays searchable, images keep their resolution, links keep working, and the title and metadata are kept.
Honest limits
Password-protected PDFs cannot be edited, and deleting pages invalidates a digital signature. Normally the tool writes a new file in which the images and fonts of deleted pages are really gone, so the PDF gets smaller. If the PDF has form fields or bookmarks, it edits the original file instead so they are preserved; the size then barely drops, and Compress PDF helps.

Frequently asked questions
How do I delete pages from a PDF?
Drop your PDF in here, tap the pages in the preview and click “Delete pages”. The new PDF contains only the remaining pages.
Can I delete PDF pages for free without Adobe Acrobat?
Yes. No sign-up, no daily limit, no watermark and no Acrobat needed. The file stays on your device.
How do I delete pages from a PDF on a Mac or iPhone?
In the browser (Safari, Chrome) the same way: tap pages, save. On a Mac, Preview also works: show the sidebar, select the page and press Delete.
How do I remove blank pages from a scanned PDF?
Click “Find blank pages”: white pages are detected and marked for deletion. Check the selection and click “Delete pages”.
Does the PDF get smaller after deleting pages?
Yes, usually noticeably: images and fonts of deleted pages leave the file. Exception: PDFs with form fields or bookmarks, which are kept, so the size barely drops. Compress PDF helps in that case.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Deleting happens entirely in your browser with the open-source library pdf-lib.
