Math facts stick only with plenty of practice – and practice needs fresh problems. This generator makes print-ready worksheets for elementary school and beyond, with an answer key for quick checking.
How it works
- Choose an operation: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or mixed.
- Set the number range and how many problems; turn on missing-number problems if you like.
- Click “Create PDF” – page one is the worksheet, page two the answers. “New problems” reshuffles.
How the problems are made
All numbers and answers stay within the chosen range. Subtraction never goes negative, division always comes out even, and nothing is ever divided by zero. Up to 100, multiplication and division use factors 1 to 10 (the times tables). Duplicate problems are avoided. Randomness comes from the browser’s cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues).
Honest limits
The sheets do not follow any particular curriculum or textbook; you decide which range suits the grade. There are no word problems, fractions, decimals or column arithmetic.
Frequently asked questions
Are these worksheets suitable for 1st grade?
Yes, with addition or subtraction up to 10 or 20. The right range depends on the child.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. With “Add answer key” on, the PDF has a second page with the same problems and the answers highlighted.
What are missing-number problems?
Problems where one of the numbers is blank instead of the answer, such as 7 + __ = 12. They practise inverse operations.
Do I get different problems each time?
Yes. “New problems” or changing a setting draws new ones, and repeats within a sheet are avoided.
