How it is calculated
A multiplication chart shows every fact at a glance: one factor in the row, the other in the column, the product where they meet. Use it as a reference, to spot patterns – or blank or with missing products as practice.
Four sheets
- Chart: complete, with square numbers highlighted (1, 4, 9 … 144).
- Times tables list: each table written out, e.g. 1 × 7 = 7 to 12 × 7 = 84.
- Blank: only the factors; students fill in every product.
- Missing products: a share of the products you choose is blank.
Tip: shuffle the factors
With shuffled factors the chart can’t be filled by skip counting – a good check that the facts are really memorized. For on-screen practice there is also the times tables trainer.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a blank multiplication chart?
Yes, choose “Blank chart to fill in”, optionally with shuffled factors and an answer key.
Can I print a 1–12 or 1–20 chart?
Yes. The chart goes up to 10, 12, 15 or 20; 12 is the default on this page, as used in US and UK schools.
What is the times tables list?
Each table written out one fact per line, such as the 7 times table from 1 × 7 to 12 × 7 – all tables up to the size you chose.
Why are some squares colored?
Those are the square numbers (3 × 3, 4 × 4 …). They sit on the diagonal, which the chart mirrors across. You can switch the highlight off.
