School Timetable Maker
Timetable maker: add subjects with a colour, then tap the cells – the timetable fills up like painting with a brush. Times are calculated from the start, period length and breaks, and the printout fits one A4 page in landscape.

How it is calculated
How to make your timetable
- Under “Set days and times”, tick the school days (Monday to Friday by default) and choose the number of periods.
- Optionally enter the start, period length and breaks and press “Calculate times”. The defaults are 45 minutes, 5-minute breaks and a 15-minute long break after periods 2 and 4 – adjust them to your school.
- Add subjects with colour, room and teacher. The subject you added last is selected.
- Tap the cells: the selected subject is entered, tapping again clears the cell. Use the eraser to clear several cells in a row.
- Print – the page is set to A4 landscape – or save as PNG or as CSV for Excel.
Readable in every colour
Whether a subject name is written in light or dark text depends on the relative luminance of the chosen colour, as defined in the W3C’s accessibility guidelines (WCAG). The text stays readable on yellow as well as dark blue.
Who is it for?
Pupils, parents, teachers and students – or any weekly plan with fixed time slots, such as training sessions or courses. The periods per subject and week are counted below the timetable.
Privacy
The timetable is stored only in your browser (localStorage); nothing is uploaded. To use another device, save it as a file and load it there.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a school timetable for free?
Add subjects with colours and tap the cells – the timetable appears straight away. Print it, save it as PNG or export a CSV for Excel, no sign-up needed.
Can I print the timetable in landscape?
Yes. “Print (A4 landscape)” prints only the timetable and sets the page to A4 landscape. You can also choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog.
Can I change period times and breaks?
Yes. Start time, period length, short and long breaks are all adjustable; “Long break after period” accepts several values, e.g. “2, 4”.
Does it work for primary school?
Yes. Choose fewer periods and strong colours; the cells are large enough to tap on a tablet and the printout is easy to read.
Is my timetable saved?
Yes, locally in your browser – it is still there on your next visit. Use “Save as file” to take it to other devices.
