JSON-LD Generator

This JSON-LD generator creates Schema.org structured data without any coding: pick a type, fill in the fields and copy the finished script block into your page. A built-in check flags missing details, wrong date formats and incomplete addresses.

Check
  • No issues: all recommended details are present and correctly formatted.
Where does it go?
Paste the whole block including the script tags into the head or body of the page it describes; each page gets its own block with the data of that page only. Then verify it with the structured data test and the Rich Results Test.
The data in the markup must match the visible content of the page. Structured data does not guarantee a special display in search results.

How it is calculated

JSON-LD is a format for telling search engines in machine-readable form what a page contains: an article, a product, a shop or a list of questions. It sits in the page source as a script block of type application/ld+json and follows the Schema.org vocabulary.

Types the generator supports

The check built into the tool

The generator verifies that addresses are complete with https://, that dates follow ISO 8601 (2026-10-01), that the price is a number and the currency a three-letter code. Faulty values are not printed; they are named in the check instead. Special characters in your text are escaped so the block cannot break out of the script.

Titles and descriptions for the page head come from the meta tag generator; which pages crawlers may fetch is controlled by the robots.txt generator.

Frequently asked questions

What is JSON-LD?

JSON-LD (JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data) is a format for structured data. It describes the content of a page with Schema.org terms and sits in its own script block, separate from the visible text.

Where do I put the code?

In the head or body of the page it describes, including the surrounding script tags. Every page gets its own block with the data of that page.

Does JSON-LD improve rankings?

Structured data is not a direct ranking factor. It helps search engines understand content correctly and can enable a special display, but it does not guarantee one.

Why does Google no longer show my FAQ?

Since 2023, expandable FAQ results appear only for well-known government and health sites. The markup remains valid but is not shown as a rich result on other sites.

How do I test the finished code?

With the Rich Results Test and the Schema Markup Validator. The tool pre-checks formats such as date, price and address; whether a page gets a special display is up to the search engine.
