Truth or dare: wheel and question generator

How it is calculated

The wheel has two equal slices: Truth and Dare, 50% each. No more "I always pick truth" – chance decides.

How to play

• Sit in a circle; one player starts and spins the wheel.
• On Truth, the group (or the player on the left) asks a question that must be answered honestly.
• On Dare, the player gets a task to do right away.
• Anyone who refuses takes an agreed forfeit, such as sitting out a round. Everyone gets one veto per game – nobody is pushed into anything.
• Then it's the next player's turn, clockwise. To draw the order at random, use the random name picker.

15 truth questions (harmless and party-friendly)

15 dares (family-friendly)

• Speak only in rhymes for the next two rounds.
• Do 10 jumping jacks.
• Impersonate someone in the room until the others guess who.
• Sing the chorus of your favorite song.
• Tell a joke – if nobody laughs, tell another.
• Dance for 30 seconds with no music.
• Talk like a news anchor for one minute.
• Balance a spoon on your nose for as long as you can.
• Draw an animal with your eyes closed while the others guess.
• Do your best animal impression.
• Say the alphabet backwards.
• Give every player a genuine compliment.
• Let the group give you a new hairstyle (hands only).
• Speak in an accent of your choice until your next turn.
• Act out a movie scene without words until someone guesses it.

Tip: turn the wheel into a generator

Instead of just "Truth" and "Dare", type the individual questions and dares into the text box, one per line. That turns the wheel into a real truth-or-dare generator: every spin lands directly on a specific question or dare instead of just a category. With "Remove the winning entry from the wheel" switched on, nothing comes up twice, and "Put drawn entries back" refills the wheel. The history list tracks past spins, and the odds table shows the live chance for every remaining entry. The list is stored in the link, so you can share your question set or reuse it next game night.

Your own set for every age and occasion

The wheel itself has no built-in age or category filters – you control that through the list you type in:

• Kids and family: the 15+15 samples above are deliberately harmless and work from grade-school age up.
• Teens: add or swap in slightly bolder questions of your own, one per line.
• Adults, couples, 18+, spicy: for edgier rounds, type in your own questions and dares – we deliberately don't publish explicit content here, but the wheel itself works the same way with any entries you add.
• Separate truth-only and dare-only wheels: if you don't want the two mixed, set up two lists – one wheel with only truth questions, one with only dares – and link both sets to your group.

Pair it with other random tools

To pick who goes first, use the random name picker or a coin flip. For extra mini-challenges inside a dare ("roll a number and repeat that many times"), the dice roller fits right in.
