Yearly planner printable
This yearly planner printable comes in two forms: as a year-at-a-glance with twelve months on one sheet – optionally as a school-year planner starting in August or September – and as a vacation planner with names for a team, family or club. Weekdays and week numbers are calculated, for any year.

How it is calculated
In short: the generator creates a ready-to-print yearly planner as a PDF. The year-at-a-glance shows all twelve months side by side with 31 day rows each, weekends hatched. The vacation planner adds one page per month: names in the rows, days in the columns, plus week numbers and a column for the total of vacation days.
How it works
- Choose the template: year at a glance for the overview or vacation planner for coordinating a team.
- Enter the year and set the start month: January for the calendar year, August or September for a school year, July for a fiscal year that starts in summer.
- For the vacation planner type the names one below the other. They appear in the rows of every month page.
- “Create PDF” and print at actual size.
How it is calculated
Weekdays and month lengths follow the Gregorian calendar: February has 28 days, 29 in leap years (divisible by 4, centuries only if divisible by 400). A year has 365 or 366 days, of which 104 to 106 are weekend days. Days that do not exist, such as February 30, are hatched. The week numbers in the vacation planner follow ISO 8601: the week begins on Monday and week 1 is the week with the first Thursday of the year. US Letter is the default format on the English site.
Honest limits
Public holidays and school breaks are not entered; they differ by country, state and year. You fill in the total column by hand. The vacation planner is no substitute for HR software; it is a template for filling in and coordinating. The “toolboxday.com” footer can be switched off.
Privacy
The PDF is created entirely in your browser. The names are neither stored nor transmitted; only the settings (template, year, start month …) are remembered by the browser.

Where can I get a free printable yearly planner as a PDF?
Here: choose the “Year at a glance” template, enter the year, pick US Letter or A4, then “Create PDF”. The PDF is ready to print at once, with no sign-up and no watermark – the small footer can be switched off.
Can I make a school-year planner?
Yes. Set August or September as the start month and enter the start year, such as 2026 for 2026/27. The overview then shows twelve months from summer to summer.
How does the vacation planner for employees work?
Choose the “Vacation planner” template and type the names. Each month gets a page with names in the rows and days in the columns; weekends are hatched and a total column is on the right.
Is there a vacation planner as an Excel template too?
This generator gives you a PDF for printing and filling in by hand. For calculations with formulas an Excel file is better; the PDF is ideal for a notice board in the office.
Are public holidays entered in the yearly planner?
No, because holidays and school breaks differ by country and state. The printable calendar 2027 gives a yearly view with holidays.
Why does the planner show 365 or 366 days?
It depends on the leap year. The planner works out the length of each month; in a leap year February has its 29th day. Days that do not exist, such as February 30, are hatched.
