How it is calculated
In short: this generator creates a ready-to-print monthly calendar as a PDF – either as a month grid with one box per day or as a daily list with one line per day. Weekdays, month length and week numbers are calculated for the chosen month (ISO 8601: weeks start on Monday, week 1 contains the first Thursday of the year), so it works for 2027 and every year after.
How it works
- Choose the layout: grid for an overview in landscape, daily list for appointments and tasks in portrait.
- Set the month: this or next month, any month and year – or no date to fill in by hand.
- Under Number of pages enter e.g. 12 to print a whole year at once.
- Optionally type goals (they appear with tick boxes in the notes box), then “Create PDF” and print at actual size.
How it is calculated
The weekday of the 1st and the month length follow the Gregorian calendar: February has 28 days, 29 in leap years (divisible by 4, centuries only if divisible by 400). Depending on the weekday of the 1st, a month needs four to six week rows; the grid adapts so the boxes fill the page. The week number sits left of each row and follows ISO 8601. Weekends are set in bold, or shaded in the list. The US Letter format is used by default on the English site.
Public holidays and your own dates
Under “Add public holidays for” choose a country and, where verified regional data exists, also the state or region. The holidays then appear in red in the day box. Type your own dates into the list: 12: Dentist puts the text on the 12th of the first printed month, 12/24 Christmas Eve on December 24 of every printed year, and 2027-03-05 Deadline on exactly that day. Lines without a date stay goals for the month. If a box runs out of room, it shows “+2” for the remaining entries. Besides the PDF you can also download the first page as a PNG image.
Honest limits
Holidays come from this website’s verified holiday data (29 countries). If there is no verified data for a year, the month stays without holidays and a note appears. Holidays that apply only in parts of a state, and school breaks, are not entered. For a whole year on one page, use the printable calendar 2027. The small “toolboxday.com” footer can be switched off.
Privacy
The PDF is created entirely in your browser. Your goals are neither stored nor transmitted; only the settings (layout, month, format …) are remembered by the browser for your next visit.

Can I make the monthly calendar for any year?
Yes. Under “Month” choose “Choose myself” and enter the year and month. With “Number of pages” the generator prints several following months, also across the new year.
What is the difference between month grid and daily list?
The grid shows the month like a wall calendar with one box per day, good for an overview. The daily list has one line per day with columns for appointments, tasks and notes, good for the desk.
Why does the week start on Monday?
Under ISO 8601 Monday is the first weekday, and the week number counts that way. If you prefer Sunday as the first day, you can set it; the week number column is then dropped.
Are public holidays marked in the calendar?
Yes, once you choose a country: its public holidays appear in red in the day box, and where verified regional data exists you can also pick the state or region. School breaks are not included.
Can I print the monthly planner without dates?
Yes, with “No date (to fill in)” the boxes stay empty and you write in the month and days yourself. With “Number of pages” the generator prints as many copies as you like.
