    How it is calculated

A visible watermark shows who an image belongs to and makes it less tempting to reuse photos without permission – product shots, real estate photos, client drafts or portfolio images. This tool puts text or a logo on up to 20 images at once.

    How it works

    1. Drop in images, choose them, or paste with Ctrl + V.
    2. Choose text (e.g. “© Jane Doe 2026” or your website) or a logo.
    3. Set size, opacity, rotation and position – the preview updates instantly.
    4. Download one by one or all together as a ZIP.

    Consistent across all images

Font size, logo width and edge distance are set as a share of the image width. A 5% watermark is 200 pixels tall on a 4,000-pixel phone photo and 60 pixels on a 1,200-pixel image – so it looks the same size on every image in the batch.

    Position: corner, center or tiled

    OptionGood forDrawback
Corner (e.g. bottom right)portfolio, social media, crediting the sourceeasy to crop out
Centerdrafts and previews for clientscovers the subject
Tiledproduct and stock photos, ID copieshard to remove, but very visible

An opacity of 30–50% is clearly visible without hiding the picture. For a copy of your ID or passport, a tiled, diagonal watermark such as “For rental application at X only, 09/2026” makes the copy hard to misuse for anything else.

    Fonts and logos

You can choose from fonts already installed on your device (such as Arial, Georgia, Courier, Impact) – nothing is downloaded. If a font is missing, the browser uses a similar one. For logos, PNG files with a transparent background or SVG graphics work best; a JPG logo brings its white box along.

    Quality and formats

“Same as original” saves JPG as JPG, PNG as PNG and WebP as WebP; HEIC, AVIF, GIF and BMP become JPG. Pixel dimensions stay the same. Metadata such as EXIF and GPS location is not carried over – usually a plus for photos you publish. To make the files smaller afterwards, use Compress image or Resize image.

    Limits of a watermark

A visible watermark deters, but it is not technical copy protection: someone determined can remove it with photo editing or AI tools. Tiled watermarks make that much more work than a line of text in the corner.

    Privacy

Images and logo are processed only in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Example: add “© Anna Smith 2026” to the bottom right of ten holiday photos – set text, position and opacity once and they apply to every image. More image tools: compress images before sending, resize images for the web and images to PDF for a portfolio.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I watermark several photos at once?

Drop in up to 20 images, set up your text or logo and click “Download all as ZIP”. Every image gets the same watermark, scaled to its width.

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Choose “Logo” and load a PNG with a transparent background or an SVG. Width, opacity, rotation and position are fully adjustable.

What opacity should a watermark have?

Usually 30–50%. Below that it is hard to see on bright images; above that it distracts from the subject. The shadow keeps white text readable on light backgrounds.

How do I protect a copy of my ID with a watermark?

Choose “Tiled”, a rotation of about −30°, and enter the purpose and date as text, e.g. “For rental application 1 Main St only, 09/2026”. That makes the copy almost useless for other purposes.

Does the watermark reduce image quality?

Pixel dimensions stay the same. PNG is lossless; for JPG and WebP the quality slider decides – from about 85% the difference is invisible.

    Are my images uploaded?

No. The watermark is rendered in your browser; your images and logo never leave your device.
