Lottery number generator: random picks with bonus balls
This lottery number generator draws random picks for Powerball, Mega Millions, EuroMillions, UK Lotto and many other games at the press of a button – with the Powerball, Mega Ball or Lucky Stars where the game has them. It also shows the exact odds of the jackpot.

How it is calculated
How to use the lottery number generator
- Choose the game, for example Powerball, Mega Millions or EuroMillions. The rule of the game is shown below the selection.
- Set how many picks you need (1 to 24) – a play slip often has several boards – and press “Draw numbers”.
- Each pick appears sorted, with the Powerball, Mega Ball or Lucky Stars if the game has them. “Copy picks” puts them on your clipboard as text.
- For other lotteries there is “Custom game”: you set how many numbers are drawn from which range and whether there are bonus numbers.
Why random is the best choice
In every draw all combinations are equally likely. 1-2-3-4-5-6 has the same chance as any other pick, and “hot” or “cold” numbers change nothing because the balls have no memory. The generator uses your browser’s cryptographically secure randomness – no presets, no patterns. One benefit of random picks: they rarely consist of birthday numbers between 1 and 31, which many players favour. That does not change your odds, but it does change how likely you are to share a jackpot.
The odds of winning the jackpot
The odds follow from the number of possible combinations: 5 of 69 alone has 11,238,513 possibilities, and with the Powerball (1 to 26) it is 26 times as many. The generator works out the exact value for every game:
- Powerball: 1 in 292,201,338
- Mega Millions: 1 in 290,472,336
- EuroMillions: 1 in 139,838,160
- Eurojackpot: 1 in 139,838,160
- UK Lotto: 1 in 45,057,474
- Lotto 6aus49: 1 in 139,838,160
For probabilities of all kinds there is the random number generator and the combinatorics calculator; other randomisers are dice, coin flip and the spinning wheel.
Frequently asked questions
How does the lottery number generator work?
You choose a game and the number of picks; the generator draws them with your browser’s secure randomness – no repeats within a pick, with a Powerball, Mega Ball or Lucky Stars where needed.
Do random numbers improve my chances?
No. Every combination has exactly the same chance, however it is chosen. Random picks do tend to avoid popular patterns such as birthdays, which makes sharing a prize less likely.
What are the jackpot odds for Powerball?
They are 1 in 292,201,338: 11,238,513 ways to choose the five white balls times 26 for the Powerball.
Can I generate numbers for another game?
Yes, with “Custom game” you decide how many numbers are drawn from which range and whether there are bonus numbers.
Are my picks stored or sent anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser; only your last game selection is remembered on your device.
