How it is calculated

You calculate subscription cost by converting every amount to one month: quarterly ÷ 3, half-yearly ÷ 6, yearly ÷ 12 – and adding everything up. Times twelve gives the yearly amount.

Why an overview pays off

Single subscriptions cost $10 or $15 and hardly stand out. Together they quickly reach several hundred dollars a year, often for services you barely use. The bars show where the money goes and the table the share of each subscription.

Never miss a cancellation date

For a subscription enter the next renewal and the notice period: the last day to cancel is the renewal minus the notice period. The ICS file puts these dates into your calendar (optionally with a reminder a week before). If the date you entered is in the past, the tool automatically moves on to the next renewal.

Rules differ by country

Rules on automatic renewal, notice periods and cancellation buttons vary by country and state, and by contract. The tool is not legal advice – your contract and the provider’s confirmation are what counts. Everything stays in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my subscription cost per year?

Scale every subscription to a year: monthly × 12, quarterly × 4, half-yearly × 2, yearly × 1 – and add everything. The tool does it for your whole list.

How much do people spend on subscriptions?

It is very individual. What matters is your own total: enter all subscriptions, small ones too, and check which ones you really use.

How do I find all my subscriptions?

Go through the last twelve months of bank statements for recurring charges, and check subscription settings in your app store, PayPal and Google account. Forgotten subscriptions show up that way.

How do I cancel a subscription in time?

The contract or confirmation lists the renewal date and notice period. Enter both: the tool works out the last day to cancel and reminds you with a calendar file.

What is a typical notice period?

Often 30 days for monthly services, but contracts differ and some require several months. Always check the terms you agreed to.

Is my list stored somewhere?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. The page only remembers your entries on your own device so you can continue later.
